When compressed digital audio such as MP3s and movie soundtracks is
created, higher frequencies are lost due to limited frequency
response. Most of these frequencies can not be heard by human ears,
but their presence conveys subtle nuances. When they are missing in
a digital recording, it does not quite sound the same as the live
performance. Our multi re-master feature examines the audio signal
and helps compensate for these lost frequencies, providing sound

High Definition Compatible Digital (HDCD) is an encoding/decoding
technology that greatly enhances the sound quality of CDs and DVDs.
Conventional CDs are recorded using a 16-bit signal. HDCD encodes 20-bit
information into the 16-bit data, so you get superior 20-bit sound from
HDCD-compatible players or the normal 16-bit sound from other players.
In this way, HDCD lets you enjoy a rich sound and wide dynamic range.

By memorizing a desired location and enabling playback from that
location, Position Memory lets you eject a disc part way through a movie
and then resume viewing from the same point later. This handy function
remembers the location where viewing was interrupted for up to five
