The GVS164W6 allows you to not only split the signal but to extend the distance so that you can send the signal to about 215 feet away. These units have a bandwidth of 300MHz (which is 300 million cycles per second) and that is 50 times greater than a simple TV signal. The high bandwidth allows for the transmission of large amounts of information at a very high rate of speed, thus allowing for the use of high resolution settings upwards of 1600 x 1200 in 24 or 32 bit true color mode.
